This preorder is open until October 5th at 6pm EST. The kits are sent on October 18th.
Embellish or repair your knitwear with felting! This technique can work on many fabrics, not just wool. However, they each have pros and cons. Here’s a link to a post I wrote about how to choose the right sweater to felt on: https://emmadelalaine.com/blog/how-to-choose-a-garment-to-felt-on
In this kit you’ll find:
2 #38 Felting needles
Felting pad (Yellow sponge 1 3/4 “ thick)
8 Wash-away stabilizer templates, four oak leaves, four acorns. You can order more templates by sending me an email.
5 colours of wool: light brown, dark brown, yellow, reddish brown, chocolate brown. Shades of colours may vary by slightly by kit.
Written instructions, including instructions on how to choose a good garment to felt on.
Paper diagram showing the steps to freehand each design
QR code for a video tutorial
One 2”x2” square of fabric to practice on
NOT INCLUDED For the wet felting process you will also need:
Hot water in a bowl
Soap (I generally use hand soap, liquid or bar, NOT dish soap)
A trash bag to protect a surface, a bath tub/shower or outside
A small cup to pour hot water over your project
A piece of tulle or luffa, bubble wrap or plastic: such as a plastic bag or ceran wrap (optional but reccomended)
